The Active Travel Dr Bike was on his rounds again this week, this time attending the drop in surgery at The L30 Centre on the Stonyfield Estate in Netherton. The Centre is located on the same site as The Grange Primary School, Fun4Kidz and The Griffin Day Nursery, so is a great venue for communities and families in the area; with easy access to the centre just off the canal it’s the perfect venue to travel to particularly by bike. We arrived for a 10am start and after setting up we scrubbed up at went straight into surgery to resuscitate a BMX that required immediate attention, new tyres were fitted to both wheels, the bottom bracket and headset were tightened and new brake blocks and inner and outer cables were fitted to the front and rear brakes, providing the bike with a new lease of life and many more happy (s)miles for the owner.

We also checked over 3 hybrid bikes that needed little attention but gave them a thorough M Check never the less and made some minor adjustments to just ensure they were in tip top condition.
