Nordic Walking is a fitness walk which uses specially designed poles to enhance the natural walking experience, it burns up to 40% more calories and uses 90% of the body’s muscles. The poles are used to get the upper body moving and to help propel the walker, meaning that the walker works harder than usual whilst walking, yet the support provided by the poles make it feel easier.
There have been regular Nordic Walks in Sefton since February 2012 and all of them free to join as long as you have completed the technique training course.
Nordic Walking is a great way to lose weight and stay healthy as it strengthens your upper body and reduces stress on the joints. It’s all about technique!
Enjoy the great choice of Nordic Walking groups available every week throughout the year. You must however have completed a Nordic Technique Training Course before joining, if you have then please join us.
If you would like to complete the training course, please email email@example.com and we can advise when the next course is likely to take place.
