Independent Walking Routes

Active Walks have produced a pack with several independent routes to follow.  They are all in Sefton and vary in distance, some you can complete in 30 minutes and others will take 100 minutes.

Serpentine Saunter  – Hall Road, Blundellsands and Crosby

Marine Way – Marine Gardens and Lake, Waterloo

Coastal Path Walk – Waterloo to Hightown

Hightown Hike – Hightown Sand Dunes

Coastal Path Walk – Hightown to Freshfield

Ince Woods Wander – across the fields in Ince Blundell

Sefton Stroll – across the River Alt and along the Cheshire Lines, Sefton Village

Lydiate Loop – Lydiate countryside or canal

Ainsdale to Formby – Ainsdale Beach to Formby Squirrel Reserve via pinewoods

Ainsdale Amble – The Sand Lake and Coastal Road Trail, Ainsdale

Kew Wander – Kew Woods circular walk

Crossens Pool – Three Pools Waterway Walk, Crossens, Southport

Bootle Bustle – historic Bootle

Little Crosby Circular – a walk to Little Crosby around the perimeter of Crosby Hall from Hall Road, Blundellsands or Thornton

Churchtown Circular – historic Churchtown via Botanic Gardens Park

Hesketh Park Lap – a gentle walk around Hesketh Park, twice, not the same laps

Kings Gardens Seafront Saunter – by Marine Lake, Southport

Hillside Short Loop – surrounded by golf courses, Hillside and Royal Birkdale

Ainsdale Boardwalk – a walk in to the woods and around the hidden lake

Freshfield Lap – explore Freshfield Dune Heath

Jubilee Woods Circular – from Netherton over the River Alt and towards Sefton around the Jubilee Woods Trail
