The next Sefton Cycle Chat is scheduled for Tuesday 25th July, 6.00pm – 8.00pm at MeCycle Café, Ainsdale.

The last cycle chat took place at the beginning of May with around 25 or so riders, representing groups and organisations from across the entire borough of Sefton attending.  The evening began with an update on the previous chat back in January, which included providing a reporting process for recording potholes and road/cycle path defects, the development of a reporting process for near misses on the highway, route improvement schemes and infrastructure plans.  There were a number of points that we felt needed greater attention, such as the adoption of a ‘one stop website/platform’ for cyclists and greater discussion around infrastructure improvements and planning; the group agreed that we would tackle these issues at a later date and allocate an entire session to them.

For the summer chat  on the 25th July, we will focus on one or two key issues raised at the previous meetings and look to delve deeper into the areas of concern and either address the problems or collaboratively formulate a plan to move things in the right direction.  We very much welcome local cyclists input on these matters.

Places are limited but if you are interested in attending please contact us to book a place: call: 0151 934 4576 or use our contact form.
