Sefton Active Travel is currently working with community groups and Sefton@work to enable job seekers and apprentices to take up cycling as a transport option to access work or training. Our Bike Works scheme is funded through Merseytravel by the Department of Transport Cycling and Walking to Work fund.

We have a small number of reconditioned bikes available to give out to individuals who have secured work/training and require a bike in order to travel to and from their place of work/training.

If you already have a bike but need to either get it back into full working order or keep it running smoothly over the coming months, then we have the perfect solution. We have opened up our cycle workshop at Litherland Sports Park to provide you with the space and tools to help you work on your bike. One of our mechanics will also be on hand to help with advice on those tricky repairs, we also have some spare parts to help with your bike service.

The sessions run from 10am – 3pm on the following dates. There is no obligation to stay for the full session but we do ask, as space is limited that you ring to book a place in advance.
